Polar Express Fun!

We wore our pajamas all day and had some fun. We watched the Polar Express, did some caroling, had a guest reader (Mrs. Zerbe, our librarian), and enjoyed some delicious popcorn and hot chocolate. It was a fun day for all!!

Holiday Craft Fun!

Today we rotated throughout the five kindergarten classrooms and enjoyed different craft activities. Throughout our rotation we were able to: make snowman soup, create a reindeer puppet, play and create with gingerbread play dough, enjoy making and eating a Christmas tree made of green icing, an ice cream cone and fun sprinkles to top it off, and lastly put together a gingerbread man made of ginger snaps! It was a fun way to spread holiday cheer!

Our Five Senses

We started talking about our five senses this week, so today we tested out our sense of touch. We had to reach into the "feely" box and try to figure out which shape we had in our hand, just by using our fingers. We all did very well figuring out the different shapes!!

A Special Musical Performance

A performance just for us!!! Our fifth grade friend came down again to show off her musical talents and play some songs that we all were familiar with and could sing along too!! We hope to have her back to share more songs with us as the year goes on.

B-I-N-G-O!

To help learn those tricky teen numbers, we played bingo with the numbers 1-20.

In honor of Veteran's Day, Mia's dad came in to talk to our class about some of his experiences of being in the army. He showed us food that they eat, uniforms they wear, and some of the neat things he has been able to do. Thanks Mr. P. it was an honor to have you in our room!

Pumpkin Circle

We carved a pumpkin in class a week or so ago, and now it is starting to get all gooey inside. We knew it was time to say good-bye and put it out in the courtyard in hopes that this pumpkin will be able to sprout another pumpkin for next year's kindergartners, and continue this pumpkin circle.

Turning Orange

Check out how our pumpkin in the courtyard has changed from the last post. It now has a nice orange glow. Remember this pumpkin sprouted from last year's class pumpkin.

The Enormous Turnip!

Miss Jen brought in an enormous turnip she found in her garden. So to make the experience even more enjoyable she also read the book called, The Tale of the Giant Turnip.
